We are starting all summer programs next Monday, June 6th! All programs are Monday through Thursday. **Summer School (June 6-June 30; 8:00 am-11:30 am; Bus transportation is provided for summer school only; you must be registered through the school.) **Future Pirate Camp (June 6-June 30 & July 11-August 4; 7:30 am-5:30 pm; open for students registered for kindergarten & students who are still 5 years old; you must be registered through the school.) **Pirate Camp (Pirate Camp is a Boys and Girls Club of VB program; June 6-July 1 & July 11-August 5; 7:30 am-5:30 pm; All Pirate Camp participants must register through the Boys and Girls Club of Van Buren: www.vbclub.org; participants may attend the VB Club on Fridays.) **Mystery Enrichment Week (June 6-9; 8:00 am-11:30 am) will be held in conjunction with Pirate Camp and is only for students who attended the afterschool program last year. Breakfast will be served from 7:30-8:00 am at the high school cafeteria. Please drop off between these times at the high school. Drop off after 8am will be at the elementary school. Summer school car riders may be picked up at the elementary at 11:30 am or at the high school at 12:00 pm. We will go the the high school for lunch from 11:30 am-12:00 pm. Bus riders will leave after 12:00 pm. Pirate Camp participants will be picked up by 5:30 pm at the elementary safe room.
CES Events for May 23-25: Congratulations to Mrs. Pittman for being named District Teacher of the Year!! The last day of school is Wednesday, May 25. Many students received Merit Day letters and do not have attend this week. Kindergarten graduated last Thursday and do not have to return this week. Kindergarten teachers will be hosting Kindergarten Academy on Monday and Tuesday. Future kindergartners need to be dropped off and picked up in the safe room. Pirate Camp, Summer School and Future Pirates Club will begin on Monday, June 6th. Summer School Notices were sent home last week. Please turn those in tomorrow. All others can still register by turning in the paper form and by filling out the online registration at www.vbclub.org Please have a fun and safe summer! CES EVENTS FOR MAY 16-20: It's our last full week of school! Thank you to all who attended our handbook meeting on Thursday. This meeting is what determines the handbook changes that will be recommended for the upcoming school year. Please return your summer school and summer program forms tomorrow! Monday: Archery Demonstrations for all grades Tuesday: 1st Grade Field Trip; Grades 3 and 4 to attend MS play "Annie" @ Old Rock School House Thursday: AR Rewards Trip; Kindergarten Graduation @ 6 pm Friday: End of Year Awards-1st @ 8:30 am, 2nd @ 9:15 am; 3rd @ 10:00 am; 4th @ 10:45 am. 4th Grade picnic to follow awards. Merit Days are scheduled for May 23-25. Letters will go home this week!

Please turn those in this week! MAP Rewards Lunches will be on Monday and Tuesday. The Benchmark Recess will be Thursday. 2nd Grade field trip is Tuesday. 3rd Grade field trip is Wednesday. Wednesday is also National School Nurse's Day! Thank you Nurse Tresa for taking such good care of us! Mrs. Schumacher's field trip is Thursday. Handbook Meeting is Thursday at 3:30 pm. Please make plans to attend. Friday is FUN DAY! We will start off with Field Day awards and the Talent Show! We hope to see you there!

CES Events for May 2-6: It's Teacher Appreciation Week! Please thank your child's teacher for helping our students to BLOOM! The May Newsletter will go home tomorrow. It has been posted to Facebook as well. We are starting field trips and library trips this week. Please check with your child's teacher for more specific information. 4th grade will tour Middle School this week! 231 students received MAP rewards coupons on Friday. We have picnic lunches scheduled for this week. If it rains, we will either reschedule or relocate to the gym. Lunch Hero Day is Friday! Help us celebrate our cafeteria workers! Field Day is Friday! Please make sure your child brings a water bottle and wears tennis shoes and sunscreen. Parents are welcome to attend and watch their child from the bleachers. Only staff and students will be allowed on the field during events. Cedarville High School Graduation is Friday evening at 7 pm.

CES Math "Eggstravaganza" (Math Night) is tomorrow, April 12, 3:30-5:30 pm in the CES gym! We will have a jelly bean guessing egg, egg hatch match, bunny hop cake walk, M & M graphing, build a cage for your Peep, and egg relays! Get your picture taken with the bunny! Bring a bag of candy to help fill eggs for Thursday's egg hunts! If students stop at every station, including the egg filling station, they can drop their cards in for a raffle of a windmill generator and $10 Subway gift card!

The updated forecast is predicting the winter weather to arrive earlier than previously expected. For the safety of our students and staff, the Cedarville After School Program will be closed tomorrow, 2/2/22. Thank you for your support!
Attention Cedarville Afterschool Program Participants: Through our partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Van Buren, our afterschool program participants are eligible to attend the Boys and Girls Club of Van Buren on days that our program is closed. Their program will be open from 8 am-6 pm Monday through Wednesday of both weeks during our Christmas break (December 20-22 and December 27-29, 2021). CEs would like to invite you to our "1950's Drive-In Literacy Night" tonight from 4:00-5:30 pm. We have lots of goodies to give out and your CES child will have the chance to put their name in a drawing for a Kindle Fire! Students will also bring home reading resources to encourage reading at home. We will start our One Book tomorrow! The reading schedule and book will be sent home tomorrow.
