Hello CES Families! Packets for the 24-25 school year are ready for pick up. We are also registering new students for the upcoming school year! Our summer office hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 am-3:30 pm. We will be open again on Fridays beginning August 2. Our office will be closed Monday through Wednesday, July 22-24 and Monday-Tuesday, July 26-27.

Good afternoon! We hope that you are enjoying your summer break! Session 2 of Pirate Camp started today.
The CES office is open Monday-Thursday 8 am-3:30 pm. We are currently registering students for the upcoming school year!
The 24-25 school supply list is now available on the CES webpage and the CES Facebook page.
2024-25 School Year Registration Packets will be available for pick up Monday, July 15-Thursday July 18 from 8:00 am-11:00 am and again from 12:30 pm-3:30 pm.
Completed packets may be turned in starting Friday, August 2nd! Your child will receive his/her "Golden Ticket" when packets are returned! (The scratch off ticket reveals your child's teacher for the upcoming school year.)
Open House for all grades will be Thursday, August 8th 5-7 pm. We can't wait to see all of our Pirates again soon!

Math Night is TONIGHT from 4-6 pm in the CES Safe Room. Please join us for math games & activities! PTO will be selling snacks and Mrs. Butler will have the Haunted Hallway in her classroom. Donations will be accepted!
We are wearing costumes tomorrow! Students must be able to use restroom w/ no assistance. Regular shoes are required. No capes, face paint, masks or 1-piece costumes allowed. Students are wearing costumes all day and costumes may get dirty, etc.
Tomorrow is also our non-nutritional day and the Snack Ship will be open!
Pioneer Day is Friday! Students will get to learn all about life during pioneer days! Your child may choose to dress like a pioneer as well!

Good afternoon! CES is excited to announce that we started our "One Book" TODAY! Students received their very own copy of "8 Class Pets + 1 Squirrel /1 Dog = CHAOS" and a reading schedule to take home. We ask that you read at home following the reading schedule. At school, students will compete with trivia questions, participate in discussions and complete lessons that follow the reading schedule. We will also post questions for parents to answer on the CES Facebook Page. We read chapter 1 today at school; however, you may choose to read it with your child again this evening. CES Homecoming Parade/Pep Rally Procedures: The football homecoming parade and pep rally will be this Friday, September 29, 2023. The parade will begin at 1:30 pm. Students may be checked out by a parent/guardian by 1:00 pm in the CES office. (We will not offer a check out table during the pep rally. All check outs must be done through the CES office.) Students participating in the parade with their grade-level wagon or little league will go back to their class for the pep rally. All visitors wanting to watch the parade will need to park and stand in the bus barn parking area. Thank you for following these procedures to help us keep our students and staff safe! We look forward to seeing you Friday! GO PIRATES!

Please make sure your child brings a refillable water bottle. It is very hot outside and we want to stay hydrated.
After School Program tutoring starts today. Invitations for tutoring are also being sent home with qualifying students today. If your child receives an invitation, but is not registered for the program, please request a registration form from your child's teacher. If your child does not bring home an invitation, but you want your child to attend tutoring, please let your child's teacher know.

The community pep rally is also Thursday at 6 pm. GO PIRATES!!!
YAY! We are so happy that our second day went GREAT! Dismissal for the 2nd day is almost like the 1st day again since so many students are now either going to the after school program or riding a bus. We are working to make our dismissal process run as efficiently as possible. Just a few reminders: all transportation changes MUST be made through the office before 2 pm. It is best to be as consistent as possible with your child's after school routine. Students registered for the after school program will be sent to after school each day unless another plan has been set with your child's teacher. Thank you for your help and support as we strive to become better. We are "Sailing Toward Success. Every Pirate. Every Day."

HELP US FIND OUR MISSING FUTURE KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS! Please stop by the office to pick up a registration packet. We need these completed and returned as quickly as possible.
CALLING ALL FUTURE PIRATES!!! We are hosting Kindergarten Registration tomorrow, March 30th from 8 am-2:30 pm in the CES Gym Annex. Please bring your child's birth certificate, Social Security Card, current immunization record, and current physical. Want to speed up the process? Forms are available on the elementary school website (www.cedarvilleschools.org). You can print them off and fill them out in advance! If you are not able to attend registration tomorrow, please stop by the office as soon as possible to register.
Kindergarten Academy will be held on Wednesday, May 24. It is very important that your child attends kindergarten academy and completes the kindergarten screener.
Need to plan in advance? Go ahead and mark your calendar for 23-24 Kindergarten Orientation on Tuesday, August 1st from 5-7 pm! (This is Kindergarten's Open House). Teacher post cards and registration packets will be available for pick up beginning Thursday, August 3rd! Open House for grades 1-4 will be Thursday, August 10th and the first day of school will be Monday, August 14!
