Cedarville High School Class of 1986
University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Class of 2006
Bachelor of Science - Early Childhood Education
I began teaching at Cedarville Elementary in the fall of 2006. After teaching 1st grade for 1 year, I moved to 3rd grade for 8 years. This year will be my first year teaching 4th grade.
This will be my 10th year to teach, all here at Cedarville Elementary.
I have been married to my husband, Jason, since April 2006. We have 1 daugher, Halea, who is a freshman at Cedarville High School. We live here in Cedarville and have 1 pet, a dog name Belle.
Teaching is my passion. I love coming to school everyday and love my kids. I call them "my kids" because each one of them become a part of my heart each year and even though they move on at the end of the year, I continue to check up on them and offer encouragement in their academic career.
When I am not teaching or preparing to teach, I am an avid reader. I enjoy realistic and historical fiction, biographies, and history. I also love to travel, camp, and spend time outdoors, especially in the fall. I love everything FALL - football, falling leaves, caramel apples, brisk, cool mornings, and curling up with a good book by the fire.
My favorite food is Mexican and my favorite snack is Oreo's and milk. I love sweet tea, Mt. Dew, and coffee and you will rarely catch me without one or the other. I love to cook and enjoy trying new recipies. I enjoy holidays and cooking special and traditional dishes for my family and friends.
